Refund & Cancellation Policy

At SeaMiYa Yacht Charters, we understand that plans can change. This policy outlines our cancellation and refund procedures to ensure transparency and fairness for all parties.

Cancellation Policy

Full Refund (100%)

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the charter date qualify for a full refund, minus a $50 administrative fee.

Partial Refund (50%)

Cancellations made 15-30 days before the charter date qualify for a 50% refund of the total booking amount.

No Refund (0%)

Cancellations made less than 15 days before the charter date, or no-shows, are non-refundable.

How to Cancel Your Booking

  1. Email Request: Send a cancellation request to info@seamiya.com
  2. Include: Your booking reference number, name, and charter date
  3. Confirmation: You'll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours
  4. Refund Processing: Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Policy

Your safety is our priority. If weather conditions are deemed unsafe for sailing:

  • Our Decision: We reserve the right to cancel for safety reasons
  • Full Refund: You'll receive a 100% refund or reschedule at no charge
  • Notification: We'll notify you at least 24 hours before departure when possible
  • Your Decision: If you cancel due to weather concerns, standard cancellation policy applies

Rescheduling Your Charter

We offer flexible rescheduling options:

  • More than 30 days notice: Free rescheduling (one-time)
  • 15-30 days notice: $100 rescheduling fee
  • Less than 15 days: Subject to availability; additional fees may apply

Rescheduled charters must be used within 12 months of the original booking date.

No-Show Policy

Guests who fail to arrive for their scheduled charter without prior notice will be charged the full booking amount. No refunds or credits will be issued for no-shows or late arrivals that result in shortened charter time.

Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card: 7-10 business days
  • Bank Transfer: 3-5 business days
  • Sea Miles: Immediately credited back to your account

Special Circumstances

We understand that emergencies happen. In cases of:

  • Medical emergencies (documentation required)
  • Natural disasters affecting travel
  • Government-imposed travel restrictions

We will work with you on a case-by-case basis to find a fair solution. Please contact us at info@seamiya.com with supporting documentation.

Booking Modifications

Minor changes to your booking (guest count, add-ons, package upgrades):

  • More than 7 days before: Free modifications
  • Less than 7 days: Subject to availability; may incur additional charges
  • Downgrades: Price difference is refundable
  • Upgrades: You'll pay the price difference

Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with a cancellation or refund decision, please contact our customer service team. We're committed to finding a fair resolution. Disputes that cannot be resolved directly may be subject to arbitration under Jamaican law.
